one of those days when i'm not sure why i bothered to get dressed.

some mornings

do you ever have one of those mornings where everything is falling into place?
and when you look at the clock it is only 9:00 and you are totally amazed at
what you have already accomplished in the day. i don't have those days often,
but i love that feeling.

calling all mojo

i've been a busy mama over here, just like you, i'm sure. only when i get busy i tend to neglect this space no matter how much i want be here. i try to make commitments with myself to post daily, or every other day, or even just consistently. but i know myself, with summer here its just not going to happen.


i have a long list of things i want to do, things i have to do, and things i should do (but if it doesn't happen, no biggie).

i want our days to be slow and creative around here.  matt's focus will be his new sculpture workshop. henry's will be whatever strikes his mood (lately it's been drawing pictures of robots and dragons), and mine will be sewing and photography. 

i need this creative focus because i feel like i've lost it. my photos have been a little lacking lately and i want to get my photomojo back. i want to be inspired by those that have the mojo going and i want the ability to give it back on occasion. 

in my attempt to get that mojo back, i'll be using fewer words and more visuals here over the next month or so.  

still here

still here and not much to say today. felt really good today and had more energy than i've had in a while.
matt came home early from work to go to the doctor with me.

he actually said "wow, your stomach looks huge today!"

he's very fortunate that i felt good today and had actually showered and brushed my teeth and felt publicly presentable. otherwise . . .



the doctor expects that he will be seeing me again next week. at his office.

luckily i know that the human body does amazing things and anything can happen between now and then. so i am not dwelling on it.

well, we survived the road trip, the first we have taken with Henry during daylight hours (he travelled amazingly well). i imagine i will regale you with some stories and many pictures through out the week, but for now i just wanted to say hello.

we are easing back into our 'real' life mode (as opposed to our 'vacation' life mode). lots of laundry, grocery shopping, and adjusting to be done. i go for what i hope will be my last ultrasound this afternoon. 7 weeks left (or so)!

hello, goodbye

i just wanted to pop in and say hello! i have things to share but not a lot of time to do it. things have been a little crazy around here and when they aren't crazy i'm crazy tired.
our a/c went out on a day when the temp was 97 degrees and i'm not counting humidity.
i've had a seriously cranky toddler to contend with.
one day we (me and the boy) somehow took 4 hour nap!!!! (no longer cranky)
we had a play date (i really don't like that term, i need to stop using it)
and i've been working. so, there you have it. my reason for neglecting my posts.

i do however have some socks to share, but i don't want to rush that so you will see them next week!
